Campgrounds in Tennessee
No RV trip would be complete with out visiting Tennessee. It is a state with so much to offer such a great cities like Knoxville, Memphis or Nashville. Anyone that enjoys country music would definitely have a great time in Tennessee.
CHATTANOOGAIf your looking for a nice relaxing vacation you should stay in Chattanooga. It a beautiful scenic area. There are two RV campgrounds you could stay at the first one is Best Holiday Trav-L-Park. It is a pretty basic campsite with sewer, water and electrical hookups. They also offer a few extras such as Wireless internet,cable and laundry rooms. You can go for a beautiful nature walk, swim, visit the arcade or playground. The campsite is located on a Civil War battlefield a must see place for an history buff.
Another RV campsite in Chattanooga is Raccoon Mountain RV Park. They also have all the basic hookups with a few extras like cable,internet,laundry area and meeting areas. If your looking for something fun to do they have nature trails, biking trails, a a marina and a playground. They are just a few miles from downtown Chattanooga and Raccoon Mountain Caverns which is one of Tennessee's highest rated caves.
NASHVILLENashville is widely known as the Country music capital of the world. Anyone who the loves old fashion country music feeling will be right at home here. You can visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, Grand Ole Opry Museum, or take a bus tour of Nashville hot spots.Nashville has three different RV campgrounds you can stay at during your trip.
Nashville KOA Kampground is is much like the other KOA Campgrounds you will find all over the country. If you have previously stayed at one and liked it than you will also enjoy your stay here. The campground has full hookups, internet access, laundry rooms, restrooms and showers. The recreation center includes a swimming pool, golf/mini-golf courses,playground and boat or kayak rentals. The Nashville KOA campground also has seasonal live entertainment you can call to get a list of entertainers.
If you are a fan of Yogi Bear than Jellystone Camp Resort is the place for you. Campground has water and electric hookups only. It is a very basic park with only a basketball court and shuffle board for recreational use. It is however just minutes away from the Grand Ole Opry and the General Jackson Showboat. During the summer season they have event weekends. Every weekend has something different happening from Fairy tales, mystery, chocolate lovers or blast form the past. The last RV Campground in Nashville is Two Rivers Campground. Two Rivers has full hookups,restrooms,showers and a laundry room. They also have a pool,game room, playground, and wireless internet access. In the morning they offer free coffee to get your day started. The campground is extremely close to Nashville Night Life which is a dinner buffet and a show. It is also within minutes of the best Elvis show around which is on a steamboat.
With all of these great places you are sure to find a campground that is perfect for your stay. This are not the only campsites in Tennessee they are just in my opinion the best places to stay while you are there.
